Position Summary:

The purpose of this role is to work with, and support, the Marketing Department through development and implantation of the firm’s content strategy. Executed through the writing, editing, and proofreading of content for distribution across multiple online and offline channels. Tasks may include researching, writing and editing blogs, social media content, trade publication editorials, marketing collateral and other media. The role will also include composing and editing press releases, announcements, brochures, ads, invitations, case studies, and various other materials as directed.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Research and understand the company’s competitors and the industry’s landscape
  • Provide social media monitoring of industry trends, topics and influencers
  • Understand the role of keywords in content creation for SEO


  • Plan, develop, and implement content strategy to gain company visibility and credibility
  • Work with marketing team to develop and distribute thought-provoking editorial and commentary
  • Interview internal stakeholders to develop new content for print, web, digital, video projects, etc.


  • Research, write, and edit clear and compelling content for multiple audiences
  • Write unique keyword rich content for press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and social media
  • Research and write industry-related editorial for trade publications and websites
  • Confirm SEO keywords and variations are executed properly in all distributed content
  • Work with marketing department to publish SEO friendly content to WordPress website
  • Assist in proposal writing for regional offices
  • Assist in writing company collateral including bios, case studies, projects sheets, etc.
  • Aid in development and execution of annual content calendar
  • Work with Director of Marketing to execute overall Marketing Strategy
  • Additional tasks as needed including occasional administrative support


           Must be able to write clear and compelling copy across all platforms

  • General understanding of A/E/C industry (preferred) or marketing of professional services
  • Extensive experience writing editorial or marketing content
  • Excellent communication skills with a high proficiency in writing English
  • Knowledgeable in marketing
  • Must be able to demonstrate reliability, initiative and ability to prioritize
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously (often on tight deadlines)
  • Must be a team player willing to help others
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a content writer
  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism or Marketing preferred
