Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to work with within the Marketing Department to showcase the firm’s innovative and creative portfolio of projects to potential clients, subconsultants, and local communities. The graphic designer is responsible for the implementation and oversight of OBMI’s brand both internally and externally. This role will include producing all of the firm’s print and electronic collateral for marketing including newsletters, website graphics, proposals, advertisements and presentations, as well as developing, growing and maintain image database. This position requires someone who can work independently, be a team player, and is comfortable being handling a variety of tasks concurrently.

 Essential Job Functions:

Graphic Design

  • Design proposals and business development materials for print and online
  • Design both global and local advertisements
  • Design brochures, posters, newsletters, email marketing, and other marketing items
  • Create conference and tradeshow graphics and presentations
  • Select visually striking images to accompany articles, editorials, award submissions, and advertisements
  • Storyboard and create compelling corporate videos

Branding Execution

  • Generate design concepts and routine production of corporate collateral
  • Work with design consultants on brand strategy and style guidelines
  • Maintain advertising schedule and archives
  • Post to and maintain WordPress website
  • Create and update project sheets for design teams
  • Serves as brand champion within the firm communicating its importance

Graphics Management

  • Organize, grow and maintain corporate image database
  • Ensure consistency in format of all electronic and hard copy correspondence
  • Work with local island photographers for project photography consistent with corporate standards
  • Serve as trainer of image database software to the firm
  • Update/maintain marketing and brand templates in employee portal (MangoApps)

Qualifications

  • Varied and proven graphic design experience (portfolio required)
  • General understanding of A/E/C or luxury travel industry (preferred)
  • Expert in print design/process with a strong focus on layout
  • Knowledge and experience in designing for digital marketing
  • Must be able to demonstrate reliability, initiative and ability to prioritize
  • Must be entrepreneurial in spirit capable of learning the role with minimal supervision
  • Must be a team player willing to collaborate with and help others
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in design software including Photoshop, InDesign, PremierePro, Lightroom, Acrobat
  • 5 years’ experience in Graphic Design, A/E/C industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
