Responsibilities

 Position Summary:

The purpose of this role is to work with, and support, the Director of Marketing to use marketing tactics to expose OBMI to a wider audience, enhance the firm’s image as an industry leader and provide a broad range of support for internal departments. This role will include extensive writing, editing and reviewing of marketing copy, management of social media marketing, and assisting island offices with their marketing needs. This position requires someone who can work independently, be a team player, and is comfortable being a jack of all trades marketer.

Essential Job Functions:

Research

  • Research and understand the company’s competitors and the industry’s landscape
  • Provide digital marketing monitoring and competitive intelligence analysis
  • Understand the use of keywords in content creation for SEO

Plan

  • Plan, develop, and implement online marketing campaigns to gain company visibility and credibility
  • Work with marketing team to develop and execute conference/tradeshow strategies
  • Interview internal stakeholders to develop new content for print, web, digital, video projects, etc.

Execute

  • Write unique keyword rich content for press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and social media
  • Research and write industry-related editorial for trade publications and websites
  • Confirm SEO keywords and variations are executed properly in all distributed content
  • Work with marketing department to publish content to WordPress website
  • Assist in proposal preparation for regional offices
  • Write company collateral including bios, case studies, projects sheets, and general company write-ups
  • Publish to social media site focusing on LinkedIn, Facebook, Houzz, YouTube and Twitter
  • Aid in execution of annual marketing calendar
  • Organize and manage distribution lists for email marketing
  • Work with Director of Marketing to execute on overall Marketing Strategy
  • Additional tasks as needed including occasional administrative support

Qualifications

 

  •  In-depth knowledge of marketing fundamentals including public/media relations, content marketing, social media and email marketing
  • General understanding of A/E/C industry (preferred) or marketing of professional services
  • Extensive experience writing marketing copy and editorial content
  • Knowledge and experience with digital marketing techniques
  • Excellent communication skills with a high proficiency in reading and writing English
  • Must be able to demonstrate reliability, initiative and ability to prioritize
  • Must be entrepreneurial in spirit capable of learning the role with minimal supervision
  • Must be a team player willing to help others
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • 5 years’ experience in Marketing, A/E/C industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English or related field preferred
